Business Intelligence Master Data Engineer

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in establishing and maintaining our master data platform, which is integral to our business intelligence operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure establishment and maintenance of our master data platform, and secondary that all our applications are able to subscribe to this platform, enabling efficient data sharing and analysis. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment and maintenance of the master data platform, ensuring its stability and performance.


• Enable all applications to subscribe to the master data platform, facilitating seamless data integration.


• Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and requirements.


• Design and develop data models and architectures that support our business intelligence initiatives.


• Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity.


• Monitor and optimize data flows and processes to enhance efficiency and performance.


• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on data-related issues.


• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in master data management and business intelligence.


• Document and maintain comprehensive records of data-related activities and processes.

• Proven experience in master data management and platform establishment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality assurance practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex concepts.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with a commitment to continuous learning.

• A National Diploma in ICT or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence development is essential
